Slow Cooker Cinnamon Apples

INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking spray*

  • 6 lbs. (about 12 count) apples cut into chunks (Use all of one variety or a combination of varieties)

  • ½ cup apple cider

  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar (add a little more if you like it sweeter)*

  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice*

  • 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon*

  • ¼ tsp. salt*

Note – this recipe makes a lot of cinnamon apples, but it’s nice to have leftovers for a snack. Alternatively, you can easily cut the recipe in half.

DIRECTIONS

Coat a 5-to-6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Combine apple chunks, cider, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt in cooker. Cover and cook on low until apples are softened, about 5-6 hours. This recipe is delicious with roasted pork. Enjoy!
