Grilled Chicken Drumsticks

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 chicken drumsticks

    1 large lemon*, zested and juiced

    ¼ cup olive oil*

    2 tsp. garlic powder*

    2 tsp. kosher salt*

    ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper*

    1 tsp. smoked paprika*

    1 tsp. dried oregano*

DIRECTIONS

Pat the chicken with paper towels and place in a 1-gallon Ziploc bag. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Pour over the chicken and seal the bag, squeezing out as much air as possible. Massage the marinade into the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight. If you only have 30 minutes, marinating for 30 minutes is better than nothing!

When you’re ready to grill, let the chicken sit out for about 20 minutes, to take the chill off the meat. Meanwhile, heat the grill to medium-high. Place the chicken on the preheated grill and cook, rotating every 5 minutes, for 30-35 minutes (internal temp 180-185 degrees). Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
